Always have a problem when making curry?

If it's too watery, take out the meat and boil it off until you have the right consistency, then add the meat back. If it's too dry just add a little boiling water to moisten it up a bit. Another way you could thicken it is to mix 1 tbsp of cornflour/cornstarch with 1tbsp of cold water in a cup then add this paste to your curry. We spent all morning getting rid of this Vista Security 2012 virus with McAfee Security. The virus wouldn't let us access anything, such as internet and Microsoft word, things like that. So, my mom put in McAfee security and it seems like we got rid of it. But whenever we click on the internet, it says that 'the application cannot be found'. I tried to access a game I had installed and it came up with this window that said to open the file with which program, and it showed all these programs, but I tried clicking on one and the window with the programs opened up again. I'm not a computer whiz (no one in my family is) and we're stumped. Is there a way to fix this? I'd appreciate help, not bull crap answers, like 'your computer is toast, sorry' or 'sucks for you'. First off, I need to say that I'm a very clean person. I have two cats and both are bathed once a month or so. My landlord gave me a notice to vacate, then conditionally changed her mind. Should I stay?

So about a month ago I noticed some spots growing on my carpet, and I complained to my landlord because it freaked me out. She got pissed but fixed it. In the meantime my lease was expiring and my roommate was moving out. My roommate is a slob. My landlord made a bunch of comments about how dirty the place was and then handed me a notice to vacate. So I thought it was that she thought it was because we are dirty. Well she's just pissed about the carpet. I would like to add that she is bitching at me constantly over minor things. She has spend about an hour a day for a week bitching about the most random things, until she gave the notice to vacate. My boyfriend wanted me to ask her to reconsider. I didn't want to but I broke down after he nagged me for 2 weeks. She called me today, and after bitching at me for over an hour and a half, she said she would think about it and call me back next week. But, if she did allow me to stay it would be month to month so that she could give me another notice to vacate and I needed to understand that was the only way she would let me stay. She says she will get back to me next week. But, I need to keep looking other places. Now, my boyfriend is mad because I asked him to miss work to help me find places to live. We live together. My friends thought it would be funny to hack into my email preventing me from going on my facebook, deactivating my account. They created 3 different fake emails resetting my password countless times making many new ones and made the security questions to their advantage one of the questions for example is "why do you want to get into my email?" They messaged my little brother and said they have everything which i believe they don't. Soo, i want to start eating better. My family is prone to high blood pressure and all that. I have a 3 yr old son, and i want to be around for him! im only 19 yrs old (almost 20) im 4 feet 10 inches tall, and about 175 lbs...i know that is overweight for my height...and im looking to do something about it!! So, originally i enrolled in University of phoenix for homeland security, because it was a sure thing, and its accredited.but recently, alot of my friends have been coming to me, to help wire and install car audio systems. Today, my friend called me to help him, and he pulled brand new black mustang into my garage. I literally wired it, installed two 12" mtx subs, and a 1200w amp in less than two hours. and i started thinking. thats what i love to do. and i dont mind the work, and time put into it. Unemployment Compensation and a side job (original question deleted??)?

I'm currently receiving unemployment compensation in the state of Florida, where I live. I've been offered an odd job that will pay me 70 to 80 bucks in the form of a personal check, I believe. Do I have to report this to the unemployment office? I didn't have to fill out any kind of application or submit my social security number or anything. I'm just expected to show up at a certain time, do my job and they'll pay me. It's basically under the table work, but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to tell the unemployment office. If I don't report it, will I get in trouble? The unemployment office transfers the money to my bank account, so they have all that information, so I'd imagine they would be able to view my bank account. I can't live off of 80 bucks a week, but having that extra money will help me overall with bills. I just need some insight before I start calling the office and asking them. They can deny benefits even if you turn a job down. They'd probably rather me make 80 bucks a week than pay me what they do now. Please, I need some insight. Looking for vegan food options that aren't soy substitutes.?

Alright, due to medical recommendations, I'm removing animal products from my diet. I'm not going the unhealthy meat substitute route where you eat a bunch of gross processed mock-meat foods. I've been eating mostly fruit and veggies (variety of deep leafy greens, etc), making sure to get in B12, taking a vitamin supplement and tofu for protein. What cookbooks and recipes would you recommend for a vegan? Also, any opinions on raw foods?

Why won't the rice paper wrappers brown when I fry them?

I fried them at 325 degrees for like 10 minutes and they didn't brown, one of the egg rolls split a little and the filling browned a lot but the papers didn't! what am I doing wrong? I read in my vietnamese cookbook that you need to put a little sugar in the water when softening the dry rice paper, for use and I read this after the mishap! but, is a sprig of sugar really going to make that big of a difference? please help!

How much should I reduce the liquid in my recipe if using quick-cooking barley?

I am making a barley and mushroom "risotto". it is in the vegetarian version of the joy of cooking cookbook. one adds one cup of pearl barley adding 2/3 cup of dry white wine and then 6 cups of vegetable stock, a little at a time because the recipe says that barley takes 45 minutes to an hour to cook. But I am using Quaker quick-cooking barley and the box says it cooks in about 15 minutes. So how much should I reduce the amount of vegetable stock (and wine if necessary) so my risotto comes out the right consistency? please answer asap if you know how to help me! I have to start dinner in about an hour and a half! answers plus tips if you have them would be greatly appreciated!

I Am So Disgusted With Certain Family Members Right Now?

My mother has always been controlling and co-dependent on her children. Don't get me wrong, she was also very loving and nurturing but...controlling. She has always been both emotionally and financially co-dependent on her children, now aged 34 & 36. I finally had enough and moved out at the age of 29yrs and have lived independently since. My sibling lives with her but strongly desires to move out into his own place. He won't do this out of fear of what will happen to my mother. He refuses to admit this to her but has told me this is the reason he hesitates to leave. My mother has been on unemployment for maybe 1 1/2 - 2 yrs. She is trying to collect SSI and disability. As you probably know...this is a time consuming process but she wasn't exactly in a hurry. She now only has about 1.5 month left to collect unemployment. Recently, my sibling voiced his desire to have his own place. My mother agreed and when he asked what she planned to do....she told him she would move in with a complete stranger and rent a room. CRAZINESS! I told her I refuse to condone this and told her she will put her belongings in storage and move-in with me. I explained to her my brother MUST eventually move out into his own place and learn to live independently. She too will eventually move out into a one bedroom and learn to live independently. I have become extrememly angry over this issue. Not to mention, just yesterday I learned my brother may have an older child he never knew about until recently. Mind you....he collects social security and disability. Financially he cannot afford a child. He is in no position in life to father a child....period. I am angry because my mother is co-dependent on us. I am angry because her co-dependency as forced her children to sacrifice having their own lives to contribute to her life. I have a psp 3000 and it used to connect fine but recently it won't connect to my wifi anymore. I get connection acces point timed out. I do know a little mor ethan average bout computer. I've tried everything reset my router, I formated my psp. I have changed my security settings to open still nothing. My 360 works fine. and both my dsi and 3ds connect fine so its not my router. I even put a access block and put both my 3DS and psp on the access list and the 3Ds connected and I got the same access time out message and I'm stuck.

Suggestion on how to organize my recipe magazines?

i have 4 years worth of Rachael Ray mags and at least a years worth of Food network mags. I have them stacked in my pantry but of course, that is a lot of mags and i need to get rid of some. I will probably get rid of the first year or two of them b/c i had cut a lot of them up to paste the recipes i liked on recipe cards. so, there's not much to those anymore. All the health stores and some of the supermarkets sell gluten-free products, and all the health stores sell recipe books. But I find I get the best recipes on the internet. Just Google "gluten-free recipes" and you'll get millions. I found it easier to start with just eating protein (meat, fish etc) and vegetables, and gluten free pasta, and little by little added bread and other things. If you are a vegetarian is can be quite difficult, though. Good luck with it.

My hubby is a picky....?

Here's what I do, I pick a meal and make it. If the other family members don't want to eat it then they can fend for themselves. I'm not a short order cook, nor do I want to be. I do make out a weekly menu so I know what to buy at the grocery store and I stick with it. We keep things like frozen fish sticks,waffles,pancakes, things that the kids like and can be thrown together without actually cooking a whole other meal.(I don't mind doing that) You could try doing home made pizza's, each person could make their own personal pizza. Hidden home camera security system?

I got a quite from a security camera person and it was like 2.5g and way over the price I'm willing to pay. Someone has been destroying my mailbox and I want to set up one camera on my house to watch it. It needs to be good quality, HD if possible, with IR and PTZ. The biggest thing though is it needs to be either a hidden camera that can go somewhere on my house, or it needs to be a small and all white dome camera that will blend in with my house. Soo, i want to start eating better. My family is prone to high blood pressure and all that. I have a 3 yr old son, and i want to be around for him! im only 19 yrs old (almost 20) im 4 feet 10 inches tall, and about 175 lbs...i know that is overweight for my height...and im looking to do something about it!! You could scan them or copy them a copier if you are just trying to put a book together with the same size paper. If you're typing them up so they look like they are your own recipes, then your stuck typing them on your computer.

Hey I need to know how to get rid of the fake ms security essentials ASAP! Before my computer crashes...?

I've tried downloading recommended antivirus software to remove it but it won't let me. I have AVG free, and malwarebytes installed but it won't let me access them. It wiped out ALL of my files, and it won't let me use system restore. It won't even let me get into the registry or pull up task manager, and I'm pretty sure if I try to load the software from a flash drive it will block it. The only thing I'm able to use is the internet...I don't know what else to do, I don't want to bring it in to get it fixed because it's very expensive like $100-$200. I hope my files aren't gone forever, I already lost hundreds or thousands of pictures when my pc crashed, and I can never get them back. There's like only 10 pictures of me left...countless others from vacations, childhood, etc. are all gone. I'm really starting to hate computers right now. Can anyone help? I've been searching for 4 hours on how to fix it and I still haven't found anything that works. I'm not going to give up on searching how to fix it, but I'd really appreciate some advice, It'll save me some time.

Terry, all you need to do is in a pot of water add your chicken, celery, carrots, onion (if you have), bay leaf, salt and pepper. That is the basics, I do not add squash, potato or spinach. I just bring it all to the boil, then lower the heat to medium high for about 20 minutes, then I lower to simmer. The meat will fall of the chicken, but before you turn everything off and plate, taste it for seasoning. If by chance you have a chicken or vegetable stock cube laying around add that also.
