Argument over a new dogs name? Please help?

Hi. So, I'm getting a new girl dog today. I wanted to name her Ella. But here's the thing, my bestfriend's sister that died at birth, her name was going to be Ella, or Elizabeth. I really wanted to name her Ella..but when I told my friend that, she got all pissy and mad and sarcastic about the whole thing, and she said It was disrespectful..I don't get It..It's just a name..yeah I know her sister. But really, I think she over reacted..plus It's a dog. It's not like I'm having a baby, and naming her Ella. Please help me on this? Should I name the dog Ella, or just let my brother give her a name, and be unhappy .-. idk what to do..
